Celal Al kisses Pakistani flag in heartfelt display of love
Turkish actor Celal Al,popularly known as Abdurrahman Alp in Diriliş: Ertuğrul, has once more won the hearts of Pakistani fans with a touching display of affection for Pakistani flag.
During a Pakistan Independence Day and Pakistan-Türkiye Friendship day event held in Istanbul on August 14, Celal Al was presented with the Pakistani flag, which he kissed many times before holding it close to his heart and carefully placing it inside his jacket.
The actor also joined Pakistani representative in chanting country's national song Dil Dil Pakistan and national slang Pakistan Zindabad.
Celal Al was later presented with an honorary shield at the event. In his address, he spoke about the historic ties between Pakistan and Türkiye and expressed gratitude for the support extended by Muslims of the subcontinent to the Ottoman Empire during the Gallipoli campaign.
Celal Al is a Turkish actor best known internationally for his portrayal of Abdurrahman Alp in the hit historical series Diriliş: Ertuğrul.
His association with the character continued in Kuruluş: Osman which helped him earn him a strong following in Pakistan and across South Asia.
He has also appeared in projects including Saladin: The Conqueror of Jerusalem and Mehmed: Sultan of Conquests.
