4 cops martyred as terrorists attack police station in Lakki Marwat

Four policemen were martyred and four others sustained injuries when some terrorists attacked Bargai police station in Lakki Marwat last night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to police, some unknown terrorists stormed Bargai police station last night. A trade of fire was ensued between the miscreants and the police officials. Four policemen were martyred during the gunfire and four others got hurt.
DPO Ziauddin Ahmad said that a large contingent of police reached the venue and started the search operation.
The martyred cops included: Moharar sepoy Ibrahim, sepoy Imran, sepoy Sabz Ali and Elite Force official Khairur Rehman.
The injured were identified as: Gul Sahib Khan, sepoy Bilqiyaz, sepoy Ameer Nawaz and sepoy Farman Ullah.
Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of the Lakki Marwat martyrs were performed at Police Lines. Senior police officers including RPO Bannu attended the funeral prayers and condoled with the families of martyrs.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has strongly condemned the terrorist attack and sought report from the IG police.
While condemning the terrorist attack, he said it was a very sad incident and the nation would not forget the sacrifice of the martyrs.
The CM also directed to provide the best medical treatment to the injured police men.
