Asif Zardari discusses political situation with Shujaat

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday called on Pakistan Muslim League- Quaid (PML-Q) supremo Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Both leaders consulted on the political situation in Punjab and the course of action was decided in case the PTI dissolved the provincial assembly.

Zardari also conveyed a message of Shehbaz Sharif to the PML-Q chief that he brought during a meeting with PM Shehbaz Sharif earlier. The final decision on the situation in Punjab was made subject to the consent of Ch Shujaat, the sources said.  

Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema and Ch Salik Hussain were also present in the meeting. 

The sources said that Zardari has been assigned the task to save the Punjab assembly from dissolution. 

The leaders agreed to increase the political power of the coalition parties.
