Ishaq Dar emphasizes quality and transparency in medical education in PAMI meeting

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Thursday chaired a meeting of the Pakistan Association of Medical Institutions (PAMI) to discuss issues concerning private medical and dental colleges.

A spokesperson from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office said the meeting focused on ensuring quality medical education and the fair and transparent determination of college fees. Ishaq Dar emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the regulatory framework governing medical and dental institutions.

The committee also highlighted the importance of preparing talented health professionals to meet future challenges in the healthcare sector.

The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister for Health, Minister of State for Finance, Advisor to the Punjab Government on Health, as well as representatives from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Ministry of Health, and PAMI President Prof. Dr. Chaudhry Abdul Rehman.
