Miner Killed in Landslide at Shahrag Coal Mine in Harnai

 A miner lost his life on Thursday in a landslide at the Shahrag coal mine, officials said.

The incident occurred in the area of Gilani Coal Company’s Shahrag mine. The deceased was identified as Momin Khan, son of Khairati, a 55-year-old resident of Swat’s Shangla district.

Rescue teams recovered the body from the mine and shifted it to Civil Hospital Shahrag. After completion of the necessary formalities, the body was handed over to the family for burial.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the landslide to prevent similar incidents in the future.
