The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will hear an application against the Senate election video scandal on February 22.
The ECP set the date for hearing of the application against the video scandal wherein some PTI MPAs were seen taking bribe from a representative of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) before the 2018 Senate elections. In return, these MPAs cast their votes to PPP candidates instead of candidates of their own party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
PML-N leader Murtaza Javed Abbasi has submitted an application to the ECP, seeking an investigation into the video scandal. A five-member bench of the ECP headed by the chief election commissioner will investigate the matter.
