Ex-NADRA Balochistan DG writes to Google to remove ‘defamatory’ story

Former National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) Balochistan Director General (DG) Lt Colonel Talha Saeed has written a letter to the Google team in which he has made a request to remove the news item which opens whenever somebody enters his name in Google’s search engine, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

He writes that the news in question is, ‘Committee finds Balochistan NADRA DG guilty in corruption probe’, which, he says, obviously brings a bad name to his reputation.

“The story is ‘derogatory and is an outcome of personal rivalry,” he says and adds that not only it is a blot on his professional career but also a source of mental stress. “Kindly remove it from the search engine so that my ‘true image’ could be restored in the public eyes,” reads the letter.

Towards the end, Lt Colonel Talha hopes that the issue will be resolved soon.

He has also requested Google to ask English daily ‘Pakistan Today’ to remove this news from its website.
