Motorway Police Monday recovered smuggled gutka worth millions of rupees, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, Arbab Ali Zardari, Operation Officer at Motorway Police Beat 31, Sakrand, was on routine patrolling when he signalled a corolla car bearing registration number BHL-217 to stop.

When the car did not stop, Arbab informed the Control Room and a mobile team patrolling near Sakrand about it.

As soon as they received information, patrolling officers Habibullah and Basharatullah chased the car. But the driver, instead of surrendering himself to police, applied brakes to the car and disappeared into a banana orchard taking benefit of the darkness.

The police, however, managed to arrest the man who was travelling along with him who introduced himself as Ayub Barohi while the fleeing driver as Noor Bux Barohi.
