Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah is going to the UK to hold meetings with ex-PM Nawaz Sharif and PML-N chief organizer Maryam Nawaz.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, Sana will leave for the UK on a private flight.

During his five-day tour, he will have meetings with key figures to deliberate on party organization and the ongoing political situation.

A decision will also be taken on the return of Maryam Nawaz and measures to activate the workers.

There will also be a consultation on the intra-party elections of the PML-N and Punjab politics.

Punjab is heading to an election after the assembly was dissolved.

The opposition and the government could not finalise the name of the caretaker chief minister and the governor wrote a letter to the assembly speaker to take up the matter.

The speaker will constitute a joint parliamentary committee to finalise the caretaker CM in three days. If the committee failed to do so, the ECP will post the CM.
