Foreign direct Investment from China remains on top in Pakistan

Foreign Direct Investment from China remains on top in Pakistan in first six months of the current fiscal year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday,

The share of Chinese Investment in foreign direct investment was 34% whereas total FDI reached $863 million.

Investment from China amounted to $293 million in 1H of FY24.

Hong Kong's share was 22% with $191 million FDI and the UK's share was 14% with an investment of $122 million.

The power sector grabbed most of the FDI amounting to $434 million, Oil and Gas $130 million and Financial Business $91 million.
