Flights cancelled and delayed at Lahore Airport amid dense fog
Dense fog enveloping the areas surrounding Lahore Airport on Sunday disrupted both domestic and international flight operations, causing widespread delays and cancellations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the report, reduced visibility on the runway forced authorities to temporarily suspend several flights, significantly affecting travel schedules.
AirBlue flights PA 403 from Lahore to Karachi and PA 404 from Karachi to Lahore were cancelled due to the poor weather conditions.
Saudi Air flight SV 739 to Jeddah was delayed for 17 hours, while Etihad Airways flight EY 285 to Abu Dhabi experienced a 13-hour delay.
The return flight EY 284 from Abu Dhabi to Lahore was similarly delayed by 13 hours.
Other affected flights included AirBlue PA 431 from Abu Dhabi to Lahore, delayed by nine and a half hours, and AirSial PF 717 from Jeddah to Lahore, delayed by six hours.
Karachi-Lahore flight PK 302 experienced a delay of three hours and fifteen minutes.
Additionally, AirBlue flight PA 473 from Jeddah was delayed nine and a half hours, while Flynas XY 883 from Dammam faced a three-hour delay.
Authorities have urged passengers to stay in contact with their airlines for updates and advised travelers to allow extra time for check-ins and boarding as visibility improves gradually.
