University forms committee after controversial welcome party videos: Fact-finding committee to submit report within three days.
Videos showing female students modelling during a welcome party at the University of Peshawar have gone viral on social media, raising concerns over the event’s conduct.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the incident reportedly occurred on January 15 at the University Public School Auditorium during the annual welcome party for students.
In response, the university administration has formed a fact-finding committee to investigate the matter thoroughly.
Professor Dr Anoush Khan will lead the committee, which also includes five other members tasked with reviewing the incident.
The committee has been directed to submit its report and recommendations to the competent authority within three days, after which the university will decide on the necessary course of action.
The administration has emphasised that appropriate measures will be taken based on the committee’s findings to ensure decorum and uphold the institution’s standards.
