A local court in Islamabad local Court on Monday granted pre-arrest bail to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in multiple cases of arson and vandalism lodged amid Long March, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Additional Sessions Judge (East) Abdul Ghafoor Kakar ordered Imran Khan to submit a surety bond of Rs.5,000 in each case.

Imran Khan's lawyer Dr Babar Awan argued the bail pleas before the court.

The court also accepted the exemption plea of Imran Khan.

Islamabad police have registered FIRs against Imran Khan in Bahara Kaho, Lohi Bhir, Koral and Sahala police stations.

Earlier, a court in Islamabad exempted PTI Chairman Imran Khan from personal appearance and extended his interim bail in 15 cases involving allegations of arson and vandalism in the federal capital during the PTI’s long march until July 18.

His attorney appeared on his behalf and informed the court that Imran Khan could not attend the hearing because his life was in danger.

Imran Khan was granted exemption from personal appearance by the court, and his interim bail in 15 cases was extended until July 18, 2022.
