Mukesh Ambani retains top position on Asia’s richest list

Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries, has once again held a top position on Asia’s richest individuals list for July 2024, with assets valued at $122.8 billion. The list, issued by International media has ranked Gautam Adani with a net worth of $85.7 billion Second Wealthiest Person in Asia.

Indonesian businessman Prajogo Pangestu becomes third, holding assets worth $61.8 billion on the list. China's Zhong Shanshan, owner of the e-commerce company Nongfu Spring, ranks fourth with assets totaling $59.3 billion.

Fifth on the list comes Chinese entrepreneur Colin Zheng Huang, owner of the social media giant TikTok, whose assets amount to $50.7 billion. Following him in sixth place is Zhang Yiming, with a net worth of $43.4 billion.

Seventh place goes to Savitri Jindal and family from India, with a wealth of $41.2 billion as of mid-July 2024. Tencent’s Ma Huateng, from China, holds the eighth position with assets worth $40.4 billion.

Ninth place is held by Japan’s Tadashi Yanai and family, with a net worth of $30.8 billion.

The tenth spot goes to Hong Kong’s Li Ka-Shing, whose wealth is recorded at $35.8 billion.
