Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has paid heartfelt tribute to Constable of the Punjab Police, who laid down his life while heroically rescuing flood victims in Jhelum.

The brave officer, named Haider Ali, was swept away by a powerful flood current during the rescue efforts.

In his statement, Minister Naqvi hailed Haider Ali’s unmatched courage, declaring him a national hero. 

“Constable Haider Ali saved many lives by putting his own at risk,” the Minister said, “His sacrifice is a shining example of dedication to duty.”

While describing his actions as a remarkable display of bravery, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that the martyred constable upheld the highest values of service, ensuring that his sense of duty remained unwavering even in the face of life-threatening danger.

“The nation salutes the supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Constable Haider Ali,” Naqvi stated, adding that his legacy of selflessness will forever be remembered. 

He also extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of the martyred officer, assuring them that the government stands firmly by their side in this moment of grief.
