Aseefa Bhutto pays tribute to Shahnawaz Bhutto on 41st anniversary
First Lady and Member of the National Assembly Aseefa Bhutto Zardari on Saturday paid tribute to Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto on the occasion of his 41st martyrdom anniversary by participating in memorial service events in Naudero and Garhi Khuda Bakhsh.
According to a statement, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, accompanied by Shahnawaz Bhutto's daughter Sassi Bhutto, visited Bhutto House in Naudero, where they took part in Quran Khawani held in memory of the late PPP leader.
Later, Aseefa and Sassi visited the shrines of the PPP martyrs at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh to pay homage to Shahnawaz Bhutto.
The two offered Fateha and laid wreaths at the shrine, remembering the sacrifices made by the Bhutto family for democracy in Pakistan.
Special prayers were offered for the stability of democracy, peace, progress and prosperity of the country, as well as for the well-being of the people.
Shahnawaz Bhutto, the younger son of former prime minister and Pakistan People's Party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, died under mysterious circumstances in France on July 18, 1985. His martyrdom anniversary is observed annually by PPP leaders and workers, who pay tribute to his sacrifice and reaffirm their commitment to democratic values.
