Tickets for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final have become the most expensive in the history of American sports, surpassing all previous records, according to a Forbes report.
The final, to be played between Argentina and Spain at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, has seen ticket prices soar to unprecedented levels.
According to the report, the lowest-priced ticket available for the final has reached $6,943, while the average ticket price stands at $11,327, making it the costliest sporting event in US history in terms of ticket prices.
Premium seating has climbed even higher, with a seat in Section 115A of MetLife Stadium priced at $28,479.
The previous record was held by the 2024 Super Bowl, where the average ticket price reached $9,411.
