Three mountaineers were injured while their guide went missing in an accident on K2 Falak Sar track in Swat on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Rescue 1122 staffers shifted the injured mountaineers to Saidu Sharif Central Hospital, while a search operation was launched to trace the whereabouts of missing guide Syed Ali Shah.

According to reports, the incident took place in a rugged mountainous terrain.  

Falak Sar, sometimes spelled Falak Sair or Falksar, is located in the Ushu Valley of Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Known by locals as the "Mini K2" due to its striking resemblance to the real peak, it is the highest mountain in the Swat district.
