Akhuwat Foundation provides 18 thousand masks to Punjab Police

Akhuwat foundation Thursday acknowledged the efforts of Punjab Police during the corona pandemic and provided 18 thousand masks for the use of force.
A delegation of Akhuwat Foundation, sent by Dr Amjad Saqib under the leadership of Muhammad Abu Bakar, called on IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir at Central Police Office. Addl IG operations Inam Ghani and DIG welfare Shariq Kamal Siddiqui were also present on this occasion.
IGP Shoaib Dastgir said for protection of citizens from coronavirus, police officers and officials in all districts are engaged on the frontline without even caring about their lives and field officers under their supervision are ensuring the instructions issued by the government regarding smart lockdown so that the spread of this pandemic may be reduced to the maximum extent.
He said that mutual cooperation and efforts of different departments are necessary to fight against this Corona pandemic and by these efforts, the Pakistani nation will soon be successful in overcoming Corona crisis. He further said that responsible attitude of citizens and strict obeying of precautionary measures are compulsory for protection from coronavirus and in this regard, police force shall be offering its duties for guidance and safety of the citizens.
During the meeting, Abu Bakar acknowledged the services, efforts and sacrifices of Punjab Police in the fight against pandemic and said that determination and morale, and zeal of Punjab Police was a good precedent for other departments.
On this occasion, he also gave 18 thousand masks for the safety of Police officials on the behalf of Akhuwat Foundation. IG Punjab Shoaib Dastgir paid thanks to Akhuwat Foundation for provision of safety equipment and said the police officers and officials depute on different points across the province use thousands of masks on daily basis and the masks given by Akhuwat Foundation will play a vital role for the safety of Police employees.
