Court awards jail terms to banned outfit’s activists

A special anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Thursday awarded prison terms to leaders of banned organization Lashkar-e-Taiba activists, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Zafar Iqbal and Yahya Aziz were sentenced to five years each in prison while Abdul Rehman Maki and Abdul Salam sentenced to one-year jail each.
All four members of the banned organization were arrested on charges of financing terrorism.
Yahya Aziz, Zafar Iqbal and Abdul Salam were convicted for raising funds and financing the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The court also ordered to confiscate their properties which had been bought from the funds raised for the banned organisation. All four members are also on the United Nations’ list.
