Punjab govt mulling closing 63 big Lahore markets by 8pm

The Punjab government is mulling closing 63 big markets of Lahore at 8:00 PM in order to save energy, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The markets include Siddiq Trade Center, City Tower Gulberg, Kalima Tower, Model Town Link Road, Metro Cash & Carry, Fortress Stadium, Liberty Market, Pace Mall, Gulberg, Park Lane, Hafeez Center, Gulshan Ravi, Anarkali Market, MM Alam Road, Johar Town market, Shadman Market, Karim Market and those in the Walled City.
According to a report submitted to Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz, 361 megawatts of electricity is being consumed at these markets after 8 in the evening which comes down to 204 megawatts between 9 and 10:00 PM.
CM Hamza, however, will take the final decision in this regard.
