CM Maryam reviews progress on Nawaz Sharif IT City Project
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz presided over a special meeting in Lahore on Wednesday to review progress on Nawaz Sharif IT City Project, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, the Punjab Chief Minister was informed that many renowned IT groups of the world showed interest in investing in the Nawaz Sharif IT City Project.
The participants were told that Nawaz Sharif IT City has already become the first institution which obtain approval from the Special Technology Zone Authority.
The participants of the meeting was told that 23 renowned IT companies will establish their offices in Silicon Block of Nawaz Sharif IT City.
Imperial College of London, in collaboration with Novacare, will construct a medical college and a hospital, and Netsol will also establish first IT University in Nawaz Sharif IT City.
The participants of the meeting were informed that Roots Group and the University of Warwick will form a joint venture.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Central Business District (CBD) Imran Amin briefed the participants of the meeting in detail.
At the end of the meeting, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed relevant officials to take effective and all necessary measures for the establishment of the Nawaz Sharif IT City Project.
