One woman was killed, while another was seriously wounded in an incident of firing over a dispute in the jurisdiction of Aabpara police station of Islamabad on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Police said that Bilal Hussain, the suspect, had a dispute with his ex-wife Farhana Younus over household items, a car and other issues.
Farhana and her mother Nighat Yasmin were returning home after filing a complaint against the suspect at Race Course police station of Rawalpindi when Bilal, who was following them on a motorbike, opened fire at them in G-6 sector of the federal capital, the Force said, adding this resulted in serious injuries to both women, who were shifted to a hospital where Nighat succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect managed to escape from the spot.
Also on Thursday, a woman and her two children were injured when JUI-F Senator Hamdullah’s car collided the motorcycle they were travelling on in Sector G-8 of Islamabad.
Senator’s son was driving the car at the time of the accident.
The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.
Eyewitnesses said that the motorcyclist was coming from a wrong direction.
