NAB summons Maryam in Jati Umra land case also on March 26

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore, in connection with another investigation into the alleged illegal transfer of 1,500 kanals of land in Jati Umrah, on Thursday summoned PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz also on March 26, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It may be mentioned here that the NAB a day earlier asked Maryam Nawaz to appear before its Lahore officers for questioning regarding Chaudhry Sugar Mills case after a gap of seven months and now she has been summoned in illegal land acquisition case also.
Sources said Sharif family acquired about 3,500 kanals of land with the alleged connivance of the administration in 2013 and then in 2015, with the alleged connivance of the then DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and DG LDA Ahad Khan Cheema and others, the master plan of Lahore was changed.
The NAB notice maintained that Sharif family working with the then Lahore administration declared thousands of kanals of land as ‘Green Land Area’.
Maryam Nawaz has been asked to come with the record about the transfer of 1,500 kanals of Jati Umrah land.
