4,000 cops on guard for PTI chief’s Toshakhana hearing

As many as 4,000 police personnel have been deployed on the eve of PTI chief Imran Khan’s appearance in court in Islamabad today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Heavy police deployment was made sealing all roads around the Judicial Complex and routes were also blocked by installing containers.

Only Srinagar Highway route is open to proceed to the Judicial Complex.

The administration and the federal police decided to position 4,000 cops instead of 400 for the hearing which is going to be held at Judicial Complex instead of Islamabad district court.

According to sources, the decision to deploy heavy contingent of police after PTI leaders’ announcement to come to the court.

All other cases to be heard at the Judicial Complex today were cancelled.

According to the list provided by the PTI, party leaders will be allowed entry as a police staff officer will be in contact with the PTI in this regard.

No PTI leader or worker other than those whose names were present on the list will be allowed to enter the Judicial Complex.

There will also be a ban on the entry of PTI workers who are coming with Imran Khan’s vehicle.

Personnel of Punjab police were also assisting the federal police in today’s security operation.
