Aleema Khan narrates conditions Imran Khan is being kept in at Adiala Jail

Aleema Khan, elder sister of jailed former prime minister Imran Khan, met her brother in Adiala Jail and then briefed the media about the conditions he was being kept in his prison cell.

Talking to the media, Aleema said Khan and his wife were not being allowed to meet each other and their family members according to the jail manual. She quoted Khan as saying that he was not being given newspaper and his TV connection has also been disconnected. She said she informed Khan about the national security meeting on terrorism and he said this was the reason he was being denied newspaper and access to TV. She quoted Khan as saying that his party could not attend the national security meeting on terrorism without his permission.

Aleema said that Khan was not being allowed to meet his children and not even his doctor for a checkup despite the fact that court has granted permission that Dr Samina Niazi would examine Khan’s teeth. She said that every tactic was being used to subject Khan to torture. She said that Khan’s wife has been jailed just to build pressure on him. She cited Khan as saying that he was fighting for national unity, freedom and rule of law, and against the rule of tyranny.
