National Press Club elects Azhar Jatoi as President, Nayyar Ali as Secretary

In the annual election for 2025, the National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad elected Azhar Jatoi and Nayyar Ali of the Journalist Panel as president and secretary general, respectively.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Azhar Jatoi was elected president by getting 1090 votes, while Nayyar Ali became secretary by getting 1063 votes.

As per the channel report, Journalist Panel's Waqar Abbasi has also been elected as Finance Secretary by getting 1065 votes in the elections.

The channel reported that the process of counting votes was completed under the digital monitoring process to avoid any unfair means in the elections.

The election commission of the press club announced that the counting of votes for vice president, joint secretary, and governing body will be completed today.

The National Press Club of Islamabad, Pakistan, is a representative body of journalists based in Rawalpindi and the Pakistani federal capital, Islamabad.

This body represents more than 2500 journalists and also interacts with visiting journalists from other parts of Pakistan as well as international journalists that visit the area.
