After Moosewala Murder, Gippy Grewal gets frightening threat from notorious gangster
Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal is at the center of widespread concern after a purported audio clip, allegedly linked to gangster Goldy Brar, surfaced online.
The unverified recording, which contains a direct threat, has sparked panic among fans and intensified political debates over Punjab’s law and order situation.
In the clip, the caller believed to be Goldy Brar, the Canada-based gangster involved in the 2022 murder of Sidhu Moosewala reportedly questioned Gippy for not responding to an earlier message, issuing a chilling warning: “Message can be ignored, but not bullets.”
Authorities have not confirmed the clip’s authenticity, but its circulation on social media has escalated anxieties about celebrity safety in the state.
The development quickly drew political reactions. Sukhbir Singh Badal criticized the Punjab government, alleging that Gippy’s security cover had been withdrawn shortly before the clip surfaced. On X, he wrote: "Disturbed to learn that our superstar Gippy Grewal received a threat from notorious gangster Goldy Brar right after CM @BhagwantMann withdrew his security cover.

Goldy Brar (Satinderjeet Singh) is a Canada-based gangster and designated terrorist under India’s UAPA. He is believed to have masterminded Sidhu Moosewala’s murder and has been linked to criminal networks, including Lawrence Bishnoi and Babbar Khalsa International.
So far, law enforcement agencies have not officially confirmed the audio clip or issued a threat assessment. Fans and followers of Gippy Grewal remain on alert as the situation develops.
