Hockey World Cup 2026: Pakistan to meet India on Aug 19 in Netherlands

Pakistan and India will clash in a high-profile Hockey World Cup 2026 match on August 19, at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday. 

According to the International Hockey Federation (FIH), Pakistan will open its campaign against England on August 15, followed by a match against Wales on August 17.

The tournament’s inaugural match will see Australia take on Japan on  August 14. 

The Pakistan-India clash, often one of the most intense and widely watched fixtures in the hockey calendar, comes after the FIH completed the tournament draws and finalized the match schedule.

The match between two arch-rivals marks a significant moment for Pakistan, which has qualified for the Hockey World Cup for the first time in eight years.
