Dr Faisal Sultan says vaccine being administered to people is safe

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan updated the nation about the vaccine safety profile that out of 3.8 million plus doses, 4,329 reports of adverse effects have been reported so far and nearly all reports were of mild, expected side effects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Dr Faisal Sultan said of the 4,329 cases, 90 percent involved pain at the site of injection or fever.
He further added, “Only 6 serious events reported - each investigated thoroughly and each found to be coincidental and non-attributable to vaccine.”
Earlier, a special flight of PIA brought one million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from Beijing, China as the federal government has paced up the vaccine roll out in the country.
Currently, vaccines are available for 30 years and above people across the country.
