Lahore district has 1.2 million newly registered voters who will be able to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming general elections, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday. 

According to the data shared by the District Election Commission,  during the last general election held in 2018, Lahore district had a total of 5,397,622 registered voters.  After adding the newly registrered votes 1,254,526 in the total sum, as many as 6,652,148 individuals will exercise their right to vote in the upcoming general elections. 

According to the figures, 3,550,278 of the registered voters in Lahore are male while 3,101,870 are female. Women were more interested in vote registration than men.
