SP’s driver caught red-handed selling illegal arms in Lahore
The driver of Superintendent of Police (SP) Iqbal Town was found involved in an illegal arms sale and has been caught selling weapons from Sanda in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to police, a case has been registered against accused Constable Faisal Ali under sections of illegal arms and abuse of authority.
Police said a resident of Sanda, Asif Shahzad, called the police helpline number 15 after seeing a policeman selling arms.
ASI Rana Arif arrested policeman Faisal Ali on the tip-off of caller Asif Shahzad.
According to the text of the FIR, an illegal pistol was recovered from the accused, Faisal Ali.
The accused policeman could not show anything when asked about a license and permit.
How many pistols has the official sold? An investigation is underway, police said.
