ANP Malaysia Overseas President Abdul Rehman shot dead in Charsadda

Unidentified assailants shot dead Abdul Rehman, Overseas President (Malaysia) of the Awami National Party, inside his room in the Alif Khanabad area of Charsadda and fled the scene, according to family members and local sources.

Police said the attackers opened fire while Abdul Rehman was sitting in his room, causing fatal injuries that led to his death on the spot. The assailants escaped before they could be apprehended.

The deceased’s son said the family heard gunshots and rushed to the room, where they found Abdul Rehman lying in a pool of blood. He added that his father had no known enmity with anyone.

According to the family, Abdul Rehman had returned from Malaysia about a week ago after spending 21 years working abroad.

Family members have demanded a transparent investigation and called on police to arrest those responsible at the earliest. Authorities said an inquiry has been initiated to trace the attackers and determine the motive behind the killing.
