Karachi police hunt suspect in deadly Sea View hit-and-run case
Karachi police are continuing investigations into a deadly traffic accident near Karachi’s Sea View area that killed a man and injured two others on May 14, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.
According to police officials, the suspect, identified as Nauman Ali, is originally from Dera Murad Jamali and is involved in a transport business operating between Karachi and Balochistan. He is still at large.
Investigators said documents linked to the Balochistan Excise and Taxation Department were recovered from the double-cabin vehicle involved in the incident.
Police added that the vehicle was carrying a fake number plate allegedly associated with the Balochistan government.
Authorities said raids had been carried out in multiple areas to arrest the suspect, who has been absconding since the incident.
Police believed that he might currently be hiding somewhere in Balochistan.
The accident occurred on the night of May 14 near the Khayaban-e-Bukhari turn on Sea View Road when a car was making a turn and was hit by a speeding double-cabin vehicle.

The collision killed 35-year-old Salman at the scene, while two other young passengers in the vehicle were injured.
Police said the suspect fled the scene immediately after the crash, taking the damaged vehicle with him.
Investigators later obtained CCTV footage from various routes showing the suspect allegedly hiding the vehicle inside a residential building in Defence Phase 2 before secretly sending it to a nearby workshop for repairs.
Police have since recovered the vehicle and registered a criminal case, but the suspect has not yet been arrested.
