PM Shehbaz, Qatari PM discuss regional peace, bilateral ties in telephone call

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation on Monday evening with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, to discuss bilateral cooperation and the evolving situation in the Middle East.

During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on the ongoing peace efforts being led by Pakistan.

The Prime Minister expressed deep appreciation for Qatar’s support for Pakistan’s peace initiative and reaffirmed Islamabad’s strong commitment to resolving the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.

Both leaders underscored the need for sustained international efforts to preserve the ceasefire, prevent further escalation, and restore stability across the region.

They agreed that continued engagement and coordination among regional and global stakeholders would be vital in maintaining peace.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also conveyed his warm regards to Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of Qatar, and reiterated Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen its longstanding ties with Doha.
