Pakistan and Finland Tuesday held the sixth round of bilateral political consultations in Islamabad, where both sides reviewed the full spectrum of their bilateral relationship, according to Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi.

The Pakistani delegation was led by Additional Secretary (Europe) Muhammad Khalid Jamali, while Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Otti Holopainen headed the Finnish side.

During the talks, officials discussed cooperation in trade, investment, education, science and technology, and climate change, Andrabi said. Global and regional developments also came under detailed review.

Jamali expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Finland ties and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further deepen collaboration in diverse sectors. He also thanked Finland for its support in securing Pakistan’s GSP+ status.

Pakistan invited Finnish companies to participate in the Pakistan-EU Business Forum scheduled for April 2026, the spokesperson added.

Both sides agreed to continue regular engagement, with the next round of consultations to be held in Finland.
