Imran Khan’s cell in Adiala Jail expanded on special court orders
The cell of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in Adiala Jail has been expanded, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The Adiala Jail superintendent has implemented the orders of Special Court Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain and expanded Imran Khan’s cell.
The PTI chairman’s cell has been increased from 35 feet to about 60 feet.
The PTI chairman had made two more requests to Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain about the cell during the hearing of a case.
He had requested to provide home meals and a bicycle for exercise.
“The jail authorities are responsible for providing food in jail,” the judge had said to the PTI chairman.
He also directed the jail superintendent to provide the PTI chairman with a bicycle under the jail manual for exercise.
Informed sources have said that indictment in the cipher case will be announced on October 23 at all costs.
The special court will hear all the pleas at the next hearing and pronounce the verdict on the same day.
It is also learnt that the PTI legal team plans to use delaying tactics as they did in the Toshakhana case.
At the next hearing, a plea for acquittal will be filed by the PTI lawyers to stop the indictment on October 23.
