KP police rescue abducted polio workers in Tank

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Tuesday rescued two polio workers out of the four who were abducted by unidentified armed people in Tank, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

The police stated that the polio workers, including a woman, were travelling to far away areas for monitoring with security when they were kidnapped.

A search operation was launched during which the monitoring team in charge Shaila Noor and the driver Waheed were rescued.

The search for the other two workers, Zulfiqar and Muhammad Shoaib is underway.
