Giraffes pair arrives Lahore Safari Park from South Africa

After too much wait, two giraffes arrive Lahore Safari Park from South Africa on Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif shares the good news to children through a message on her twitter handle, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

After eight years of wait, people will now be able to see giraffes in Lahore, as the arrival of a pair of giraffes at the Lahore Zoo has revived the charm of the deserted enclosure. Three years ago, after the death of a male giraffe, his female companion was left alone. 

According to the details, Children's wish to see giraffes for the first time in decades at the Safari Park will now be fulfilled, as a two-year ban on the import of animals imposed due to the poor conditions of zoos has also been lifted. The arrival of giraffes is a sign of the restoration of global trust in Punjab wildlife. 

For the past eighteen months, historic reforms and arrangements have been made in the wildlife sector according to world standards. Now, children will be twice as happy to see giraffes in Lahore Zoo and Safari Park.
