Pakistan played a key role in Gaza ceasefire, says PM Shehbaz

Pakistan has set a new example of economic stability and diplomatic achievements, Prime Minister said while addressing a gathering in the Jahanian Tehsil of Punjab’s Khanewal District on Saturday.

He said that Pakistan had emerged from the threat of bankruptcy in the last one and a half years and taken the path of economic stability. He said that all indicators of the country's economy were moving towards improvement and the government was taking Pakistan towards development and prosperity with hard work day and night.

Shehbaz said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and her team had set a new example of public service with hard work, honesty and sincerity. He said that people were given relief in transport, education and health sectors in Punjab.

The prime minister said that Pakistan had achieved a great victory in the defence field against India in recent days. He said it was the result of the courage, bravery and grace of the Pakistani forces and the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty. He said the Pakistani forces defended the homeland under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and made Pakistan famous all over the world.

He said when the current government took power, the country was facing a severe economic crisis and a strong threat of bankruptcy. He said that hard work, honesty and right policies made economic indicators move in the right direct.

Shehbaz said there had been a new warmth in relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi leadership has expressed exemplary cooperation with Pakistan. He said that he held important meetings with world leaders like US President Donald Trump, Turkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi at the United Nations.

The PM said that Pakistan played a key role in the Gaza ceasefire. He said that Pakistan played a prominent role in protecting peace and human rights, which was appreciated at the global level. He said the Gaza ceasefire was a great humanitarian service and Pakistan was proud to play its role in it.

Shehbaz said that all political forces in Pakistan must rise above differences and work together in the national interest. He said that Pakistan's dreams have to come true. “We have to work day and night with honesty and faith. Pakistan's development is the success of all. If Pakistan is there, we are all good. If there is respect for Pakistan, then there is respect for us. Let's make Pakistan great together,” the PM said.
