Anoushey Ashraf raises her voice against women harassment

After the horrible motorway rape case incident, Pakistani host Anoushey Ashraf has started using her Instagram account to share the stories of women who had faced harassment in their life.

Anoushey has always been vocal for raising the voice of women and by this initiative she aims to increase awareness regarding violence against women in the society.

Following are some real incidents of harassment she had been sharing on her Instagram account.

It’s my small attempt to bring to light REAL stories of harassment/rape/assault women have faced at the hands of some sick minded individuals so some of us can understand how deep rooted this sickness is and how it effects women. 4-5 days of true stories by real women. I’m so proud of EACH of you for sharing your stories. Together we’re stronger and there’s some consolation in knowing we’re not alone. And these stories just don’t come from Pakistan, it’s an issue around the WORLD. So please don’t think I’m doing a disservice to anyone. My advice would be to speak up in public spaces and tell people around you that an individual is making you uncomfortable, but when you’re 14, it’s difficult to even comprehend what’s truly going on. However, Feroze Khan has also gone one step ahead to protect women in light of rising abuse and harassment cases targeting them.

The Khaani actor, after taking note of a young girl's plight who was harassed, stalked, and threatened by a boy, has set up an Instagram page titled 'Protect Them Now' with the handle @protectthemnow, to help such cases.

Khan took immediate notice of the case, in which a young boy named Ibsham Zahid had been verbally abusing and threatening the girl Fatima and her family. These included rape and death threats. He then set up the page, previously.
