Punjab Assembly members and party ticket-holders met with Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday to discuss the ongoing political situation and the problems of their constituencies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Those who met the chief minister included Hafiz Amar Yasir, Rasikh Elahi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Khan Bhatti, former President Bank of Punjab Hamish Khan, MNA Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Dolah, Fauzia Bahram, Malik Fida Hussain, District President Pir Waqar Hussain, ticket holder from Sargodha Osama Mela and others were among those who met Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
The lawmakers appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to help the flood victims.
The chief minister, on the occasion, said that remote areas of Punjab including Talagang will go through a phase of development and he also announced to upgrade the hospital in Talagang by increasing the number of beds to 100.
He also pledged that he will not neglect the remote areas unlike his predecessors did in the past, rather, backward and neglected areas will be given equal development opportunities. Development plans will be formed in consultation with the members of the assembly, he added.
He further lambasted the PML-N for using the welfare projects of his time in Punjab to calm their punctured ego and abused the people of Punjab by stopping public projects initiated by him.
“During my previous tenure, I initiated many projects and development works for the convenience of the people and I will continue to do public service by the will of God,” the CM Punjab told the assembly members.
