Pakistani social media influencer and TikToker Jannat Mirza has invited trolls' wrath for acting miserly as she showered Rs10 currency notes during her sister’s engagement while her fiancé showered Rs100 notes on his sweetheart.

 The clip created a frenzy on social media as keyboard warriors were displeased with the ‘raining money’; a ritual for showing off wealth by showering currency on her sister’s engagement. 

It was Jannat Mirza’s sister Alishba Anjum’s engagement last night and she was obviously performing the maid of honour duties there. Jannat’s fiancé Umer Butt was also present with his family. As a family ritual, they started throwing money. Currency notes were raining on Jannat with Rs100 notes by Umer Butt while Jannat being stingy reciprocated with Rs10 notes.

Jannat shared the video of an excessive show of wealth on her TikTok as well as Instagram. This comes at a time when the whole country is devastated by floods. Over 3 crore people have been rendered homeless and are still sleeping under the open skies and waiting for food.

People did not feel good seeing that and criticized the TikTokers for a shameless show of wealth at such a hard time for the nation.
