Pregnant woman tortured to death by in-laws in Islamabad 

A seven-month pregnant woman has allegedly been tortured to death by her in-laws in Burma Town, under the Khanna police station limits of Islamabad on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The deceased, Mehwish Sardar, was married to Faizan Iqbal in 2017 and was the mother of three young children.

According to the FIR, the deceased was tortured by her husband and mother-in-law and was separated from her children and thrown out of the house.

On the day of the incident, the family was informed that Mehwish had been electrocuted, however, they were informed shortly after that she had died.

After finding evidence of violence in the postmortem report, the police have registered a case on the complaint of the deceased’s brother and have started an investigation.
