Interior Minister says no one will be allowed to shut federal capital

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that no one will be allowed to take law into hands and close federal capital, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

Addressing press conference in Islamabad after chairing law and order meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said that the federal government and security forces are focusing on law and order and eradicating menace of terrorism.

Mohsin Naqvi advised KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to focus on combating terrorism instead of a long march.

“You may certainly stage protests in your own area, but an attack on any province is unacceptable”, Mohsin Naqvi advised KP Chief Minister.

Interior Minister said Islamabad High Court has issued its verdict that there was no room for storming the capital.

Mohsin Naqvi said anyone setting out to disrupt the peace will be stopped. He said, “this time, we are clearly communicating the rules of engagement to our personnel.

 “We cannot permit plans to shut down the capital”, the Interior Minister asserts.

He said a tragic incident of terrorism has occurred today.  “It does not befit you to carry the coffins of martyrs on one hand and prepare for sit-ins on the other”, Mohsin Naqvi added.
