Uzma Gul, daughter of the late Lieutenant General Hameed Gul, former director general of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), told a press conference in Islamabad on Sunday that the district coordination officer (DCO) and the Regional Transport Authority secretary raided the Cantonment Depot of her bus company, Varan Tours, despite the fact that she has obtained a stay order from the court. She said the officials raided the premises on the directions of the chief secretary.
Uzma said the raiding team occupied her travel company’s premises, beat her up and kept her in illegal confinement. She said the officials also swore at her and her late father. She said that raiding officials also desecrated the Holy Quran as well as other sacred books at the premises. She said that her housemaid and guards were also beaten up. She appealed to the army chief and the chief justice of Pakistan to dispense her justice. She said she would file a contempt of court petition against the officials involved in this incident.
