Miftah Ismail becomes Federal Finance Minister for six months

Miftah Ismail has become Federal Finance Minister for six months, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

A notification in this regard is released and he has taken oath too.

Earlier reports said he will visit the US and had telephonic contact with former finance minister Ishaq Dar in London. The duo discussed key issues related to the Pakistani economy and relationships with international monetary organizations.

The report said that the Nawaz League’s economic expert Ishaq Dar directed Muftah Ismail to make contact with international financial institutions without any delay.

He will also visit London on his return from the US where he will hold a special meeting with ex-PM Nawaz Sharif and Ishaq Dar.
