The Supreme Court Tuesday sought from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government the details of foreign funds that came as aid for the quake-hit people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan heard the case and questioned about the expenditure of funds.
“How much funds came from abroad for the rehabilitation of quake-hit areas?” questioned Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi.
“Tell us which were the projects the foreign funds had been spent on? How much money was spent on education and health projects?” he questioned further.
“Explain how much money the provincial government has been left with in terms of funds? Who is supervising which plan? Tell us how much money came and how much was spent?” he continued.
The KP government asked for time to submit a reply which the court granted.
The hearing of the case was then adjourned for one month.
