Police foil bid to buy millions of rupees worth narcotics in Karachi
Tightening screws around drug dealers, police in Karachi on Saturday foiled a bid to purchase narcotics worth over Rs10 million in the limits of Gadap police station, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking to the media, SSP Malir Dr. Abdul Khaliq said that the police carried out a targeted operation in Gadap area and arrested a man named Muhamma Salim, son of Ali Nawaz, from whose possession more than one kilo of ice and Rs12 million were recovered.
He informed that during interrogation, the suspect confessed that he planned to purchase narcotics.
The SSP elaborated that Salim would sell drugs in different parts of the city.
He went on to say that it was being tried to ascertain whether the suspect had a criminal record in the past. “A case has been registered against him and an investigation has begun,” he informed.
