Pakistan reports 11 coronavirus deaths, 613 new cases

These latest figures were released by National Command and Operation Centre on Wednesday, which again showed that the coronavirus spread has been shrinking throughout the country.
During the past weeks, not only a few new cases are being reported but also the death rate has gone down markedly.
Meanwhile, 11 more Covid-19 patients died after contracting the deadly virus on Tuesday after which the death toll has now increased to 6,201.
This success in containing the coronavirus pandemic can be gauged by the fact that the number of people fully recovering from the infection currently stands at 272,128. It means that a total of 278,329 of the coronavirus cases in detected in the country have closed.
On the other hand, there are 12,116 active cases currently in the country against 13,633 a day earlier. Out of these patients, 743 are still in a critical condition and being treated in the intensive care units of different hospitals across the country.
As far as the region-wise distribution of the coronavirus spread in concerned, Sindh continues to top the list with 126,743 cases. It is followed 95,742 in Punjab, 35,401 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15,412 in Islamabad, 12,370 in Balochistan, 2,565 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 2,212 in Azad Kashmir.
On the other hand, the number of tests conducted since the coronavirus outbreak increased to 2,340,072 as 22,859 more people went through the testing process during the past 24 hours.
